Description:
TEECA VEX Robotics Challenge- 2022
The robotics event will contain three areas of competition.
- Radio controlled robot challenge (40% of event scoring).
- Two-minute duration
- Autonomously controlled robot challenge (40% of event scoring).
- Two-minute duration
- Engineering design document (20% of event scoring).
- Turned in at the start of the radio-controlled challenge
All teams will be using VEX components for their robot construction. Any version of VEX components will be suitable to use and there is no limitation to the quantity of components each team can bring to the event. One robot must be able to do both the radio-controlled and autonomous tasks without any major modifications between events. Repairing a robot following the radio-controlled task is not considered a major modification.
The contest challenges and playing field will be discussed and displayed the morning of the event. Following the briefing, each team will have the day to design, build, and document their robot construction.
Competition Sequence:
- Radio controlled robot challenge
- All teams will perform this task in randomized sequence upon drawing a starting number.
- Duration = 25 minutes
- Playing Field Modification
- Duration = 10 minutes
- Autonomously controlled robot challenge
- All teams will perform this task in randomized sequence upon drawing a starting number.
- Duration = 25 minutes
